Our time on this earth is only temporary. When a loved one dies, whether sudden or expected, many decisions have to be made in a short amount of time.
On Sunday, October 22nd beginning at 4pm, St. Mary Star of the Sea Church will host a “Funeral Planning Workshop.” All are invited to attend this informative presentation which will take place in the church. Some of the topics to be covered will be the Catholic Church’s teaching on death and the funeral liturgy, making funeral home and cemetery arrangements, and choosing music. Those speaking will include: priests, a local funeral home director, a representative from St. John Catholic Cemetery, and a parish musician.
