Our cemetery is proud to host different community events throughout the year. Celebrating everything from the sacrifices of our armed forces to honoring and cherishing the memory of pregnancy and infant loss. It is through the collaboration of cemetery staff and the many wonderful volunteers and donations, that we are afforded the opportunity to hold these gatherings. Please keep an eye on our Facebook page – St. John Catholic Cemetery – for volunteer or donation opportunities, along with updates and schedules for our next upcoming event to be held at the cemetery.

WREATHS ACROSS AMERICA
– Saturday, December 16, 2023
St. John Catholic Cemetery in Jackson will again be participating – along with more than 3,400 cemeteries across the country – in National Wreaths Across America Day, a nonprofit campaign to honor and remember our veterans who serve and have served to protect our freedom. This tribute to our veterans started at Arlington National Cemetery, and is now held at cemeteries all over the country.
This year, our opening ceremony and wreath-laying event will take place on Saturday, Dec. 16th at 12pm at the St. John Catholic Cemetery grounds. All are welcome to help place wreaths on the graves of our veterans and thank them for their service after the opening ceremony.
We are raising funds to commemorate the lives of these brave men and women. This is a wonderful way to honor those who serve and have served in our Armed Forces, or to commemorate the life and sacrifice of a loved one. Will you join us in honoring our service men and women, our veterans and their families?
Sponsor a Memorial Wreath for one of our 3200 veterans laid to rest at St. John Catholic Cemetery for $17, or sponsor three wreaths for only $34. Donate by making a check payable to Wreaths Across America and sending it to St. John’s Catholic Cemetery’s office, at 403 E. South St., Jackson, MI 49203, or donate online by using the following link (copy and paste it to your internet browser) to our page on Wreaths Across America’s website: https://www.wreathsacrossamerica.org/pages/47122/Overview/?relatedId=0
